Masonic Lodge Charlotte NC – June 2014

From the East

Greetings Brothers!

The importance of the third degree can’t be overstated. On Saturday morning June the 14th, we will raise three new brothers as Master Masons in our wonderful fraternity. This is the last time we will have to make an impression on these men with regards to their degree work. It is for that reason that I implore as many brothers as possible to come out and again enjoy a fantastic breakfast, the fellowship we share while having that meal, and the joy of watching these three men as they are raised. One of the young men, while in his early twenties, is mature beyond his years and I know will be a fantastic addition to the fraternity. All three of these men have expressed an interest in becoming part of rituals and learning parts for the degrees. Each of us has our own story when it comes to the day we were raised and I want to ensure that these men have an experience they won’t forget. We will be practicing each Tuesday and Thursday until the 14th with the exception of our stated on the 10th, and we need principal fellow-craft, as well as the three ruffians. Please join us for at least one or more practices, but at the very least, find it within the length of your cable tow to help welcome these three new brothers as Master Masons.

Fraternally,

Jim Lofton – Master

From the Secretary

Brothers,

We had a pretty nice turnout for our May 27 Service Award & Military certificate presentation evening. Ten of our almost 50 veterans (right) were present to be recognized for their service, including Worshipful Brother Paul Poley (far left) who also received his 25-year Service Award.

2014 Service Awards

Brothers, please check the dues card that you are now carrying to insure that it is a 2014 card. If it is not, please contact me so that we can get your new card to you. There are still over 50 Brothers from whom we’ve not received a 2014 dues payment. Again, should you find yourself in a difficult financial position, as many are in this day and time, please contact me or the Master. We genuinely need to know if this is the reason so that appropriate measures can be taken.

Fraternally,

Mike Hamrick, PM

Secretary
