From the East
Greetings from the East,
Brothers we have had our first meeting of many in the York Rite Temple. We are getting back on track for regular meals and consistent stated meetings. This year we will not have a month where the lodge is dark. We have had too many over the recent past due to the pandemic.
Please plan to join us on July 13th. Don’t forget to RSVP to the Junior Warden via phone
or text. The current headcount stands at 20 so let us hear from you to make sure there is enough food.
I look forward to seeing you soon in the lodge.
Fraternally,
Chris Lueck
From the South
Greetings from the South!
How do you honor Independence Day?
The flag of the United States represents freedom and has been an enduring symbol of the country’s ideals since the early days of the Republic.
Do you remember how you celebrated the Fourth of July as a youth? Falling in midsummer, the Fourth of July has become a major focus of leisure activities and a common occasion for family get-togethers. This holiday sometimes involve parades, baseball, fireworks, barbecues, and trips to the beach. Did you know that presidents, John Adams and Thomas Jefferson both died on July 4,1826 — the 50th anniversary of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence.
Be safe out there.
Sincerely and Fraternally,
Paul Parker
From the Secretary
Brothers,
While we seem to usually be relatively slow during the summer months, July will have us a bit more busy than usual.
First is the Stated Communication on Tue, July 13, and shortly afterward we will have a Fellowcraft Degree on Tue, July 27.
Please contact the Junior Warden via phone call or text if you plan to join us for either of these evenings’ meals so that we can plan accordingly.
