Masonic Lodge Charlotte NC – January 2017

From the East

Worshipful Master Masonic Lodge Charlotte NC

Brothers,

Greetings from the East in this New Year of 2017. As I begin serving in the East, I would like to thank you for your confidence in me and give you my promise that I will do my best to earn the trust you have placed in me.

As we begin the year, we are looking forward to an Entered Apprentice degree on January 31.

Our Entered Apprentices, who were initiated in November, should be ready soon – so keep an eye open for a Fellow Craft degree.

At our January 10th Stated Communication, we are expecting a visit from several of our Prince Hall Brothers. They had reached out to us last year after the civil conflicts in Charlotte. During their visit they will give a short lecture on their founder, Prince Hall. I am looking forward to fellowship with them and learning more about Prince Hall.

Also this month, we need to retrieve Phalanx #31 furnishings that are currently located in the Scottish Rite Temple. This is scheduled for Saturday, January 21st. Please drop me an email if you are able to participate.

Fraternally,

Bill Stout – Master

Greetings from the West My Brothers,

The reset button has been pressed and we are off to a new year! Our near-term labors will include an Entered Apprentice degree and an approaching Fellow Craft degree. Meantime, we need to form a team of Brothers and trucks this month to move Phalanx materials from the Scottish Rite temple to our lodge. There is quite a bit of history on the walls and in a closet at 4740 Randolph Road. Let me know if you are available for a couple of hours and we will get this done. First things first though, I look forward to seeing you at our January Stated Communication on the 10th.

Brothers,

I can’t begin to tell you what an honor it is to be sitting in an officer’s chair again after a 2 year hiatus. As my life continues to remain even busier with 2 little ones at home, I thoroughly enjoy my time with my Brothers and I look forward to doing degree work again. 2017 is going to be a very busy year for us I am sure. I plan on working with WB Mack Wilson again this year to get the kids from Oxford to another Panthers game and will be starting our fundraising efforts earlier than last year. Our goal is to provide the best experience every for these kids and so far we have been gotten better each year. I thank you again for the opportunity to serve our wonderful lodge and look forward to an awesome 2017.

Brothers,

Happy New Year Brothers,

As we open this new chapter, I wish to express my gratitude to Worshipful Brother John Harder for his leadership in 2015 and 2016. I also want to say how much I am looking forward to 2017 with WM Bill Stout at the helm. Brothers, we are blessed to have these men and need to thank them for their investment of time, energy and focus on “the good of Masonry”.

Please note that your 2017 dues were payable by January 1, 2017.

We’ve received dues payments from less than half of our members, but do have payments coming in daily. I am mailing out dues cards within a day or two of receiving payment, so the date on your current dues card should indicate whether or not you are in good standing with the Lodge. I have had more than one Brother call to say that he either misplaced or not received his dues notice. Should you not have received your dues notice in November, please contact me so that I can correct that oversight.

Brothers, we are very active and have any number of opportunities for you to connect with and get involved in the Lodge. I hope that you will consider attending and participating.
